I Heard Through The Grapevine

I am the true grapevine, and my father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn't produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain In you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.

John 15:1-5 NLT

A branch is good for only one thing, bearing fruit. It may be weak in itself, but it has a living relationship with the vine and can be productive. To remain in Christ means to be intimate with Him by reading, sharing and exchanging thoughts and feelings with him on a daily basis. How do we know if we're remaining in Christ? We know when the Father prunes us, cutting away the good so that we can produce the best. Allow ourselves to get cut to produce much fruit.
